The President's Challenge (PC) is an annual series of community-based activities initiated by President S R Nathan in 2000 to promote a more cohesive society. The aims of PC are to increase awareness of how the community can get involved in helping the less fortunate and to raise funds for the social service sector. The People’s Association (PA), through its Grassroots Organisations (GROs) and Community Development Councils (CDCs) have been supporting the PC Charity Drive since its inception.

This year commemorates the 10th anniversary for PC. In celebration of the event, the PA is organising “Bridging Hearts, Connecting Smiles” The Charity Carnival which will be attended by 5,000 youths, new Singapore citizens and Permanent Residents.
